The energy company said it is monitoring a number of storm models and preparing line and tree crews across Connecticut.
Eversource said it is also securing additional contract crews to prepare for the possibility of customers losing power.
"One of the biggest challenges for storms like Henri is that changes in the storm track can significantly alter potential impacts," Eversource President of Regional Electric Operations Craig Hallstrom. "We will continue to adjust our response plans to shift crews and other resources accordingly as the storm approaches New England, and our dedicated employees are ready to work around the clock to serve our customers.”
The company is also recommending that customers put together storm kits that include essential items and stay away from downed wires and report them to 911.
